Donate to the fund for marginalised voices
We believe that knowledge should be produced by and for the people whose interests it represents. By donating to this fund, you help us pay authors who identify as marginalised, specifically those from communities marginalised by the barriers of class, caste, gender, sexuality, disability, geography, and religion.
100% of your donation will go directly to these authors.
Our target amount for the Fund for Marginalised Voices is INR 10 lakhs. This will help us pay at least 200 writers. With your support, we can achieve this goal and continue our mission of creating a diverse and inclusive space where all voices are heard and valued.
Join us to help create a more equitable digital media landscape.

Why people support IDR
“I give to IDR for purely selfish reasons: I’ve learned so much from reading different perspectives and insights. I feel like I have access to people, places and points of view that I might otherwise never have had access to. And I love that IDR makes me laugh each week! Thank you, Team IDR, for all you do.”
Priyanka Dutt, Social sector professional
“IDR is one of those rare and precious media platforms, which not only covers important social issues but covers them with great nuance. I support IDR because it provides a stage for voices from the ground, who are otherwise ignored, to share their lived experiences and stories. IDR’s engaging formats – long-form articles, podcasts, photo essays to humour series – make it an unparalleled and unrivalled platform today. I hope more readers come to the platform, subscribe and support it, because of its worth.”
